Impotant Things About Go Karting Track

If you are an adventurous type and love driving in the fast lane then you must visit the Go Karting track located in Nuvem village, in Salcette South Goa. It is very close to Verna. The Go Kart track is located on top of a hill and provides a splendid view from top.

This track is considered as one of the best Go Karting tracks in India. The length is around 550 meters in length approximately. The track has enough curves to provide the thrills and the adrenaline rush for the racing enthusiasts. This track regularly holds the Goan leg for the JK Tyre National Go Karting Championship.

The rate for 10 laps was between Rs 120 to Rs 200 the last time I had been there. The track is located at around 10 minutes drive from Margao. If you are traveling from Margao to Panjim than at Nuvem village you would see a Tata Motors showroom on the right side of the road. One has to take the small road next to the Tata Motors showroom to reach the track on top of the hill. It is better to travel by vehicle to reach the track as the slope is very steep and would take you more than 20 minutes to walk it out.

It is an artificial lake in Goa and is surrounded by undulating green hills which make it the most delightful and tranquil spot. If you wish to experience the rural side of Goa, then you must visit this lake as there a/re many villages nearby lake. While you are on the way to Mayem Lake or around it, you will experience the tiny beautiful Goan hamlets. It is an experience in itself. Mayem Lake is one of the major attractions of Goa due to wide expanse of calm waters and at the same time the cleanliness, hygiene, and tourist attractions provided by the Government of Goa. The migratory aquatic birds and seasonal birds are also seen on the bank of the Mayem Lake. If you are through with all the beaches of Goa and want to break the monotony then take some time off to spend at the Mayem Lake. Just Relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds the Mayem Lake.

When visiting the Mayem Lake, a trip to the famous Chamundi temple at Piligao is worth a visit. The image of the Chamunda goddess was originally brought from a temple in Goa Velha which was ruined by the invasions of the Muslim ruler, Malik Kafur in 1312. This temple is very old, although having been rebuilt a number of times. The temple tank is quite large and in its centre is a platform stone with ancient carvings. To leverage the tourism potential of the lake, GTDC has emphasized on building the necessary infrastructure for tourist. A park located on the banks of the Mayem Lake boasts of an excellent cafeteria and several other stalls, the most popular of which are the soft drink ones. One can also venture into the Kumbharwado locality of the Mayem village where artisans carve Ganesh idols out of terracotta for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. On the roadside there are vendors dealing in Goan handicrafts and refreshments boasting of delicious coconut water. For accommodation purposes GTDC has built many cottages near the lake.
